    Hello Jorge,
They may have dark eyes, but the child's hair looks rather blond, not likely to have been very common in the Middle East 2,000 years ago, but probably common in Russia when this mosaic was made. I agree that it is very cleverly made, looking very much like a painting until I enlarged the photo. The light is well handled and the well decorated columns provide nice frames.
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello Ike,
This may be a charming bird, but it is also a most charming photo. You captured the bird with good sharpness and fine exposure, seated in a perfect kind of urban nature. Seen against the clear blue sky the antenna makes a graphically excellent composition, with the bird as "the cherry on the cake".
    Best regards,

    Hello Jean,

You must have chosen the best possible viewpoint for this aspect towards the sea.
The posts of the fencing make the most effective guide and create a great sense of perspective as they converge.
The couple are strongly positioned and do make a intriguing focal point.
WE have the details of the marram grass, the soft, sandy beach and the sea to enjoy is this pleasing photograph.

    Have a good w/e,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Ian,

You have taken this at a perfect time, where the clouds are just beginning to roll back but make a fine backdrop for these trees and beautiful reflections.

    Grandchildren ... have fun!

    Ciao Caro Luciano,

One of the beauties of spring is the abundance of greenery, exactly as you have shown here. It is a relaxing place and reassuring that the cycle of life is continuing as normal.
The inclusion of the water captures the green reflections, too.

I would have been tempted to crop the sky altogether and just have a frame filled with green - it is my favourite colour!

Your w/s is the type of shot we expect from you, a really sharp, close-up of a butterfly.
I think this is the butterfly that I would call a speckled wood butterfly. I have seen just one in my garden this year, though there have been painted ladies, red admirals and tortoiseshells, along with cabbage whites and orange tips. I think this has been the best year for butterflies for ages!

    Have a lovely w/e,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Kari,

This is the sort of beach that I like, away from the lines of sun-beds and umbrellas.
The land and the sea meet naturally.

Your photograph reveals the natural beauty of this beach, where there is a calm atmosphere.
The sunbathing lady and the elongated tree branch seem to fit together as well balanced focal features.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Krzysztof,
5555! That is an incredible number of postings for this site. I had no idea you were the first to reach this number. My congratulations to your impressive stamina!. ;-)
For your jubilee you have chosen to show windows from inside rather than from the outside, and you included a work of modern art. It almost looks like a cave painting from thousands of years ago, but I suspect it is a much more recent piece of ordinary graffiti. It looks quite good anyway, and it is well exposed.
    Best regards,
    Gert

It's a fine portrait, again very sharp and well exposed and with a suitable background. I would have expected a monk to pose for a fee and a visitor of doing it for free.

    Hello Ian,
This is slightly similar to the photo posted by your neighbour today Luciano. But the vegetation of Australia is also very different from that of northern Italy. These trees make quite an impression, especially the dead one that looks like a kind of sculpture. There are fine reflections too and the clouds are well processed.
    Have a nice holiday,
    Gert

    Hello Luciano,
I was surprised to find that you had left the perfectly posing butterfly in the WS. On the other hand this view is very pleasant. It looks like an idyllic area, not what I would immediately imagine finding in this densely populated part of Italy. There are many nuances of green here, including the reflected areas. The boat is the only odd object reminding us of a human presence.
    Best regards,
    Gert

    Hello Kari,
This looks like a perfect beach during a pandemic. No problem of keeping a safe distance to others. I actually prefer pandemic beaches any time. The dry tree is a nice feature which also provides some shade in case the lady would feel a need to get out of the sun.

    Hello Bev,
The huge rock in the bay may be the most immediate eye-catcher, but there is a lot more to see and enjoy in this stunning view. Not least I like the clarity and the fine colours and how the photo conveys a sense of excitement of walking along the coastal path. Maybe it was a bit windy, but there would have been no lack of fresh air. The WS shows us that it must have been quite a comfortable walk.
    Kind regards,

    Hello John,
It's a very attractive view of the old farm embedded in the lush green surroundings. The cows create a pleasant atmosphere even though the barn has collapsed. The colours are well saturated and the photo is marvellously sharp. The fine nuances among the clouds reveal the careful exposure.

Newlyn is famous for the School of Art but I did not know about the fisherman sculpture or the reason for its construction.

It is a very impressive piece of art and beautifully photographed by you, from all angles.

The bronze now has a very lovely verdigris patina.

    Hello Lars,

    What an impressive scene!
You have composed the photograph to emphasise the massive space of the Old Town Square, yet it has not deterred any importance from those beautiful b/g buildings, probably because you have used the light contrasts so well.

The church stands out nicely but I really like the tall, cheerful terraced row with pastel shades and a plethora of windows!

    I just love this art.
It is unpretentious and naive but has such wonderful decorations and so very much expressive of the time.
I think many modern artists have followed this style.
