The problem is there's no more space to the left. If I compose more to the right some of the audience will be visible. If I crop tighter then the girl will be to close to the frame.

Its a neccesary evil.
Since I'm mostly doing wildlife/birds with long lens tripod are absolutely necessary for getting sharp pictures and to avoid injuring my arm from holding those monster lens....

Auto Level wont work because what auto level did is stretching the "dynamic range" of a picture to the fullest. So different picture will give you different look.
Maybe try to use the Eyedropper...

Dont know if it will work but maybe you can try to equalize the brightness of individual photo before stitching.
