Default Republic of Macedonia

I apply to everyone who is responsible about this web site, that the name of Republic of Macedonia is written wrong and here it's written FYROM or some other ugly name. It really bothers me and it bothers the rest of the members who are born and live here or outside our country. Please do the change about the name as soon as possible CAUSE IT'S WRONG.
Hoping,
Gordana from Republic of Macedonia.

Your country is called FYROM.
Maybe you are stupid and you did not realize that you can not
steal a GREEK name for your country.
DOes not matter if the Americans support your propaganda.

MACEDONIA is in Greece and it is only GREEK maimunofatsa.

If you do not like your country's name, change it.
I have good solutions for you:

1) Republic of SKOPIA
2) Slavo-Albanian Republic of Balkania
3) Slavomakedonija
4) Former Ottoman Republic
5) Titoslavija
6) Albano-Bulgaro-Greco-Turko-Serbo-Roma-mix Rebublic

Do you like those suggestions?
No, so keep cool and find your personal peace with the present solution.
If Greece is so silly to let you use the name "Republic of Macedonia", I will be the first
I will call your home so, as long as this is not the case, don't come up here with your complexes and your desire to be Macedonian.
If you want to be Macedonian, start to learn Greek.

Ciao
Athanasios from Macedonia, since ever Greek!

Dear Gordana

Please do us a favour. As you do not like the name FYROM, we do not like it when you call your country Macedonia, because this is a Greek name and a Greek region since ever.

Therefore, do not start here any political attentions and discussions.
FYROM is the name and as long as the UN call your home so, you have to accept it as we have to accept it too. Besides the fact, the owner of this side did for you a step more, he calls your country Macedonia FYR and not FYROM, which is the right termination... so keep cool.

We do not like it either, when people refer Macedonia to your country, but we have to accept it.
This side is for photography, so if you want to call FYROM the way you wish, do it in your photos, but keep in mind there are always two opinions about this issue.

Hope this is clearly and not offensive from my side.
Even it is hard to stay cool to such kind of announcement here.

Cheers
Athanasios

Absolutly right Sakis, we are not here to confuze the other people with any propaganda or small political opinions.
The history is much more than everyones pettiness.
We live in Makedonia, and I am Greek, like the most people they live here.
We are here for the photografy and not to convey our fad.

My post was not meant to you nor to your greek friends, (how come no one else bothers, 2 greeks in a row), it was an alarm for the administrator! You got all wrong and started political discussion here filled with historical deformations (where did u get those informations for God's sake?!). I was only indicating the obvious mistake done here involving the unique name of my country. But in the end, it doesn't matter at all as long as we know who we are, and damn we do. This site is an excellent place to show the rare beauty of Republic of Macedonia and I'm thankful for that to the owner of this amazing site. I'll finish here this subject and please do not reply, I won't read this ever again.
Be cool.
Gordana.

As you wrote, you can believe by yourself what you are.
And damn you are right, you know at best.
History does not matter, linguistics does not matter, at the end of the day it only counts, what you in FYROM know, damn you are so right!

Thanks god the most of the world know it too, what you are and what you aren't,
this make things easier.

With your statement everyone understand what you want to be and what you aren't.

You are right, I finish here this discussion too!
Thanks for your "sophisticated" answer!

Bye bye

Athanasios

Some fight for their lives; others will do it for a single word.

I have a question to you Greg.
Why is the official name of U.K. not great britaine ?
For you the single name is something simple but not for us.
This is my last post for this theme I am here for other things, for example for photos.

My own name is Greek. It rightfully belongs to the inheritors of the culture of the great ancient Greek civilisation. Shall I call myself instead FYROG lest someone mistake who are the true inheritors, and who the undistinguished European riff-raff? Am I polluting their glorious history with my misuse of it?
