Exclamation Recommendation compact or SLR...

my camera died ... it was a digital camera and was thinking of buying an SLR or a compact. (for a long time, because now I can not afford it!)

But I would like to know what I recommend for a rookie trying to learn to make good photos.

- Easy to understand
- And a "reasonable" price

I've been looking for cameras in the pictures but they are VERY expensive but u stand I can not afford it...besides a camera with many details not serve me because I want to go slowly in order to understand

Thanks for helping!!!

Default Could you be a bit more specific?

You will have to be a bit more specific if you want answers from the community:

- what is, according to you, a 'reasonable price'?
- what do you call a good photo?

You can take nice pictures with a compact (I've had good results with one of the TZ series from Panasonic), but if you want to have full control of your images, my opinion is you will need a DSLR. The cheapest will do as long as you're on the learning curve.

Have you considered buying a used one?

Hope it helped...
