Great Floydian 2008-05-15 3:28

Hi John,
Your pp handling and colour treatment is impressive. Every single detail is been taken care of, i like such dedication. Those people on the left look like small dots, but they are essentiel for scaling in this wonderful landscape. Clouds are pushed, ocean nice blue, deep green an yellow all over the place. The only thing i would like to see was more fram the fall, the upper part. Maybe a three horizontal exposure stitched above each other?
Anyway, an impressive landscape which i would like to see myself (maybe next year) and trying to make at least the same quality as you have in your Iceland shots.
A great shot, i really like this.
Regards, Henk
p.s.
Reading your travelogue, very interesting en nice to read, very informative, thanks.

Default To Floydian: Stitching

Hi Henk,
Thanks for stopping by and for your comments. Good idea about stitching, it's something I've never really thought about much apart from panoramas but must bear in mind for my US trip this summer. I actually took several shots here, both portrait and landscape, but the portrait ones crop the left side of the pool which is terrible and the landscape ones don't give quite enough height.
So perhaps we can look forward to some Icelandic shots from you next year? I think you'd love it, you could combine landscapes with rugged Icelander portraits.
Cheers
John
