Photographer's Note

I had recently won a trip to Fukuoka, Japan from a photo contest that I entered a while ago. After meeting some people along the way I was showing them around the city. I showed them this temple because it is the starting point for one of the area's major festivals where huge floats are raced through the streets. It just so happened that there was a traditional Japanese wedding taking place there that day.
This is one of those times where you are at the right place at the right time. Not even just for pictures but just for life. How often does one get to see a traditional Japanese wedding in a temple? For me, it is probably once in a life time.
I used the telephoto lens to blur the background and to fill the frame with the bride. It was accidentally shot at 1600 iso, so I had to noise ninja it to get it looking a little bit smoother. Other than that there was just some slight level ajustments and USM.
