Ayutthaya - Temple visit after opening hours

My last pictures of the Wat Chaiwatthanaram in Ayutthaya.

You can of course no longer enter after opening hours.
I visited this temple two days in a row. On the first day I had come by boat and had to return with the same boat obviously in time. The next day, I came partly by tuk-tuk and partly on foot, intending not to go out immediately at closing time. I wanted to walk around the temple again while most visitors were already gone and the whole was still illuminated.
Of course you cannot stretch your visit for very long. Yet long enough to get some magical impressions.

I readily admit that the quality of these pictures is not the best as they are taken without tripod.
But I think the atmosphere is clear.
Only drawback: all tuk-tuks had already left the site when I went out ... :)

Wat Chaiwattanaram is one of the most impressive temples in Ayutthaya.
Its Khmer-style prang (tower) is 35 meter high.
The temple was built by King Prasat Thong and construction began in 1630 and took about 20 years.
