Photographer's Note

This photo was stitched from 5 vertically oriented individual images. It shows the view from Vidova gora (St. Vid's Mountain) - the highest peak of the Croatian island of Brac, and at the same time the highest point on any island in the Adriatic sea. In the background is the island of Hvar. In the foreground are the southern slopes of Brac with the resort town Bol visible to the left of center and the famous Golden Cape (Zlatni rat in Croatian) beach protruding toward Hvar. The island of Brac is in the first row of islands that run parallel with the Croatian coast - it is connected by a frequent ferry service with Split in central Dalmatia.
