Excellent effect indeed as the boat seems to be levitating above this blue but... where have you been standing yourself to get this pov, top of a cliff, hot air balloon ?

hi Stefano,
the ultimate holiday photo, the colour of the water is irresistable :) amazing clarity too, it seems that the water is not there at all and the boat is floating on thin air. something seems to be off with the focus or sharpness, or may be that's just the result of the file compression.

This is a great shot! The boat seems to be suspended in mid air with this crystal clear water. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail. The off center placement of the boat works well here helping to give the shot a nice sense of direction.

The shadow reflection in the water does it al...it really looks like the boat is above the water, what a great effect. Also good to see how clear the water is. A very nice view, good composed with great light and colour.

The boat truly looks weightless, making no indentation in the water. I like the people hanging and its shadow on the bottom. Nice blue.

Floating in the blue, what a perfect title for this image. The water is so clear as to be almost not there. Good POV and the off-set composition of the boat is superb. Wonderful capture of a lazy day at anchor in a marvelous place.
Makes me want to take a holiday.

Crystal clear. Looks like the boat floats above the sea.
Just some thoughts of me: It would also make a great composition with only just the boat and the sea, leaving the shoreline out of the picture.

Non ho mai compreso con quale effetto magico le barche sembrano a volte volare sopra l'acqua. Quest'ultimo � fantastico con il colore turchese del mare e la sbarra delle rocce in sotterraneo. Molto buono POV.

Hello Stefano,

I think that a big part of the success of this photo comes from the fact that the boat since to float on the air and not on the water.
Not only focusing on this effect, the composition with the use of the shore provide a nice frame to put in evidence this optical trick.
