"La G廩de" seen through a sculpture by Manolis Maridaki: Sigma Antigravitationnel

The work:
The gravity is a force producing an acceleration, it is canceled out by an equal and opposite force.
The combination of form pipes, the acceleration due to a pump, these due to the gravity make that water describes a trajectory in semi-open tubes that deviate from the line to which it tends to.
Gravitation "defeated" increases the velocity of the water of a conduit to another and helps define the parabola that it flows into the receiver.
The technique:
2m50 high, on the basis of 6m by 4m. The fountain sculpture is made of stainless steel tubes with a diameter of 12cm, cut to shape gutter and stopped in some places. Led by a pump, water runs through a closed circuit.
The artist:
Manolis Maridaki, born in Crete in 1946, currently lives in Paris. After studying at the School of Fine Arts in Athens, he participates in research and achievements film until 1980. Fellow of a Greek state he undertakes to study sculpture at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris in the workshop of Caesar. Since 1985, it combines the study of mathematics and "physique la cr嶧tion plastique" and exhibit in Paris.
