Hello friends and colleagues, today I offer you an interesting view of a famous house in the Alsatian village of Riquewihr. I hope you like it, then some letters about the villa.

Riquewihr in French language, Reichenweier in Alsatian, is a locality and French commune located in the department of Haut-Rhin, in the region of Alsace.

For its beauty and tourist attraction is one of the villages distinguished by the association "Les plus beaux villages de France". Undoubtedly, Riquewihr is one of the most charming places in Alsace. It has little more than a thousand inhabitants and is about 50 kilometers south of Strasbourg, between this city and Colmar, another of the towns of Alsace that preserves places of remarkable beauty.
The city is famous as a producer of wines, especially Riesling, which has been cultivating since ancient times in the countryside that extends around the site, which still retains part of its medieval defensive system. Experts say that the secret of wine quality lies in its geographical location, in the Vosges sun, sheltered from the cold of the west.
The town retains a special and simple charm. The urban set preserves houses of remarkable flavor, some are of the XV and XVI centuries. Many of the buildings show an artistic decoration, but most are simple and have the charm of rural architecture, with its wooden trusses and its flowery windows.
The locality has a local historical museum and a small hotel offer.

Hello Angel,
Such a nice collection of charming houses! The colours are very appealing and it's a nice mix of green, red, pink and a bit of yellow. Also the flowers are very nice. Great work with also a touch of daily life.

Oh how i'd love to see the interior, how the home is laid out and its floor plan. Look at the rounded door! thats incredible. love the angled roof line too. the doorway trims are so charming as well, on the ground floor. super house to photograph, easy to see why you wanted to post this one. cheers

Hello Angel,
These buildings are remarkably pretty and are natural targets for tourists. It's almost like a fairytale village. The tree to the left is nicely included in the photo, and so are the few persons strolling across the square. The photo is nicely sharp and the colours are well saturated.

What a pretty little part of the village!
The houses look as if they have come straight out of a children's, fairy story book!
The colours are both vibrant and unexpected, whilst the mural is an excellent feature.
You have clearly revealed the decorations that the owners apply to their properties and presented it in a very well composed photograph.

Hola Angel,
what a surprise capture again: I always thought these places are so black and white and here so many colors: green and red,very well saturated and turning this spot into a illustration suitable for a fairy tale book.
Very picturesque spot and so many flowers to decorate it too.
