Good afternoon everyone!

Today I show you a picture of Gotthold Ephraim Lessing.
This statue stands in the square of G鄚semarkt, Hamburg.

The G鄚semarkt is a public square on the corner and Dammtorstra絽 Valentinskamp Hamburger in the Neustadt. In the triangular site near the Hamburg State Opera lead Several shopping malls and on the southeast corner of the well-known Jungfernstieg.

On the occasion of the 100th Death Was established here in 1881, designed by Fritz Schaper a monument to Gotthold Ephraim Lessing, the Lessing from 1767 to 1770 in the former Hamburg Entreprise site HAD ITS effect as a dramatist. On 18 June 1944 overthrew the pressure of an explosive bomb the monument. In 1955 It Was reorganized again.

Gotthold Ephraim Lessing (22 January 1729 15 February 1781) was a German writer, philosopher, dramatist, publicist, and art critic, and one of the most outstanding representatives of the Enlightenment era. His plays and theoretical writings substantially influenced the development of German literature. He is widely considered by theatre historians to be the first dramaturg.
