Photographer's Note

Fehmarn is an island along the German coast of the Baltic Sea. It is famous for a view of a white-red lighthouse set among the yellow blooming rapeseed fields. That is why I have visited it.
I spent in Germany 7 years, but I never owned a car there. Thanks to the perfect public transportation I have seen a lot. Only occasionally, having access to the car would allow you to visit some more remote or less popular places. This was the case for Fehmarn. We were taken for a trip there by our German friend, Tina. We met her on one of our local trips and since then we have done a lot of trips together. Most of the time using public transportation again.

This photo presents Leuchtturm (Lighthouse) Westermarkelsdorf (1881) on Fehmarn Island. It is NOT the famous white-red lighthouse which I mentioned before. The photo was taken with a first digital camera which I owned. It was a compact camera Kodak EasyShare. A month after this trip I have purchased Canon EOS 350D switching entirely to digital photography.
