this group of ancient commercial buildings is on the UNESCO list of World Heritage sites.
This is a rather unusual view of the buildings.

Hi Stefano,

Excellent selection of very singular houses to build up your composition.

It's clustered and that's the whole idea, to feel the proximity, the promiscuity. Colors are a big part of their uniqueness. Excellent!

quando sono andata a Bergen due anni fa la mia macchina fotografica era rotta - e c'era una luce unica, chiara, pulita, che non avevo mai visto da nessuna altra parte...
ricordo il rosso e l'arancio di queste vecchie case di legno - ma mi piacerebbe sapere da dove hai scattato questa foto..?
molto bello l'avvicendarsi e il sovrapporsi dei tetti e degli spioventi.

You have some fine captures from my city in your collection. I think you`ve done a great job in finding new and interesting views and angles, and this picture is a good example of just that. So many interesting details. Composition-wise it is clever executed with the architectural shapes of the old houses at Bryggen running in a fine diagonal over the frame. Your selected vantage point also offers very good depth of field. When it comes to colours it is dominated by many different nuances of red, but with a few unpainted or yellow exceptions, and of course the different shades of the pantiles. A great picture and a well thought composition. Excellent work:) Have a nice weekend.
