Photographer's Note

This is the little church Marmelos. Marmelos is a small village of Alandroal, not far from Terena. It's not exactly on the way, we just go there if we really want to.
This is one of the most typical and unique churches in the area. It dates from the 16th century and its officially called Church of Santiago Maior. However, in the area its known as Church of Nossa Senhora dos Rem嶮ios. In what concerns architecture, its considered a good example of the rural architecture of the region. The three bells in front really make the difference and let us identify it.
Generally in August or September theres a feast, the Feast of Nossa Senhora dos Rem嶮ios.
I have a detail of the bells that I still intend to post.
