Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

A few weeks ago, we met up with Viviane and Chris (from TE) as they were staying at a campsite only about 12 miles from our house.

It was a beautiful day and we went on a walk which took us over the Leeds to Liverpool canal.

Imagine our luck that a barge was just about to enter the lock as we crossed the bridge. Well, with camera in hand, it was too good to miss!

You can see the two bargees pulling the huge wooden levers to close the gates of the lock behind the barge.

I will add two further shots to show the boat approaching the lock and the 'captain' of the vessel.

Have a lovely day, Bev :-)
