Photographer's Note

High Park is a 161 hectares municipal park in Toronto, one third of the park remains in a natural state with rare trees. They also have a large number of Japanese cherry trees (sakura), they blossom usually in early May for about 10 days. I went to see them early, to avoid the crowds, so I did not get good cherry blossom pictures, but there were other pretty views. On the top of my collage the willow trees look nice on the shore of the Grenadier pond. On the middle picture I like the young birch trees. The sakuras are on the bottom picture, they have only pink buds on them. At other places there were older sakuras with flowers on it, I put a closeup of a branch with flowers into the Workshop.
