Photographer's Note

As we were returning from our little Vermillion Lakes tour west of Banff, Alberta, we happened onto this little backwater area. I stopped to take a few photos only to notice a canoe coming toward us from the distance. I waited, was set up, and was able to capture this shot as they approached. The setting was perfect, even the rocky foreground seemed right for the occasion. They never even halted their rowing, but acknowledged me with a smile as they went on by. As photographers, we often try to set things up just right, then other times, what's right and perhaps even better just happens! Enjoy. To see more of my images, click HERE
