Photographer's Note

I took this image a few days ago near Bridal Falls after a fresh snowfall of about 10 cm. The ambience was incredibly peaceful with not a footprint in the snow. The sound of quiet was almost deafening! Fallen trees are often a boon, as in Stanley Park and the West Coast Trail this winter, but in their own natural setting, stumps like this one add beauty to a winter landscape.
