Vancouver - TV Towers 1

TV towers - A residential building opposite the backside of the library, on the corner of Hamilton Street and Robson Street, photographed from the rooftop terrace of the library.

A confusing name because the two buildings with the name TV Towers are not Towers and certainly not real TV Towers. I could not find where the name comes from.

The two buildings are mainly residential condominiums with some mercantile Facility.
The complex was designed by Walter Francl Architecture Inc. in collaboration with design architect
Hotson Bakker Boniface Haden.

The exposed structure facade attracts attention and is a surprisingly design for a residential building.
Lots of glass and a limited variation in rectangular shapes of frames. But certainly well designed with a balanced rhythm of horizontal and vertical lines. Extra playfulness is achieved by a few red panels.
The reflection of the surrounding buildings and the sky create a lively image in the sleek geometric facade.
A good example of attractive residential buildings in the big city. (with the library nearby)
