The Marine Building Reflected

Its been a week since I last posted a reflection photo from Vancouver, so its time for another one. And theres another reason for this photo, it shows the Marine Building in the Downtown Vancouver and Craig told me its his favourite building in the city (and it isnt even abandoned ;-)). So this photo is dedicated to Craig, Joanne and their new-born son Oakley.

The Marine Building was completed in 1930 and was the tallest skyscraper (97.8m) in the city at the time. It has become one of the most iconic buildings in the city thanks to its Art Deco design with its many marine-themed (hence the name) ornaments (see also WS#2).

I added two photos to the workshop:
- WS#1 shows the Marine Building and its surroundings, with the MNP Tower (143m, completed in 2014) behind it and the sculpture Space Venus by Salvador Dal in the foreground;
- WS#2 shows the entrance of the Marine Building and many of its ornaments. I took the photo two years ago during the first TE-meeting with Craig.
