Photographer's Note

This is an image of the "Church of St. Nicholas (1889) located in the Sproxomin native village near Douglas Lake in the British Columbia interior. As it goes with many older buildings in our country, because they were constructed of wood, they are decaying with time. This one is no different, and it appears that even basic repairs like a leaky roof are not being tended to. I liked the very rural and quiet ambience here as this old church continues to be a stately visual presence in this community.
