Photographer's Note

This is an early morning image taken in the countryside north Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Because winter temperatures are usually well below freezing, snow falls very dry so moves about with even the lightest of wind (not to mention blizzards in high winds). Hence, every farmyard, hedge row and fence line gains the beauty of sculptured snow drifts as seen here. The photographic bonus here was that I caught some of that early morning pinkish glow to add a special touch to the scene.
