Photographer's Note

Tenerife offers more than just sunny beach life. Mount Teide is the 3rd largest volcano in the world if you measure from the ocean floor. Meaning that about 4000 meters of the volcano is below sea level.

An interesting thing about the climate on Tenerife is that on the north side of Teide you'll find green forests because of the rain that builds up there. On the south side the landscape is almost desert like and you'll find red rocks like the ones seen in this photo.
