Photographer's Note

A typical view in northeast Kauai, looking toward Anahola Mountain. The pointy bit in the middle is called Kikoo. Kauai is the oldest Hawaiian island, and therefore the most eroded, especially on the east and north sides which get most of the rain. There are plenty of steep and rugged mountains clothed in rainforest.

Scanned from a slide. Polariser used to bring out the colours. I had to wait sevral minutes for the cloud shadows to move off the mountain. It's always worth waiting for better conditions, if you have the time.
