Photographer's Note

The Simmons Sea-Skiff was characterized by an upswept bow, sharply raked stern and an outboard motor well housing an outboard motor.these boats were mainly used for ocean sport fishing or water skiing.

Us Army Corps of Engineers used these boats for work boats and this particular Skiff was a survey boat. they could carry 6 crew and all the survey epuipment.

This boat is at the Cape Fear Museum here in Wilminton.
