Photographer's Note
We are in the Montgomery Bus Boycott exhibit of National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis, Tennessee. The Montgomery bus boycott was a political and social protest campaign against the policy of racial segregation on the public transit system of Montgomery, Alabama. It was a seminal event in the civil rights movement. The campaign lasted from December 5, 1955 — the Monday after Rosa Parks, an African-American woman, was arrested for refusing to surrender her seat to a white person — to December 20, 1956, when the federal ruling Browder v. Gayle took effect, and led to a United States Supreme Court decision that declared the Alabama and Montgomery laws that segregated buses were unconstitutional. Many important figures in the civil rights movement took part in the boycott, including the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. (From Wikipedia.)
In the right frame of the collage, the bus driver, James F. Blake is depicted saying, "Y'all better make it light on yourselves and let me have those seats." In the left frame, Rosa Parks is seated, replying to Blake’s threat of having her arrested, “You may do that.”
The workshop has the full size versions of these two frames:
You May Do That
Y'all Better Make It Light...
Sol çerçevede, Rosa Parks oturuyor ve Blake'in tutuklanması tehdidine yanıtını veriyor, “Onu yapabilirsin.”
Atölye bu iki çerçevenin tam boyutlu versiyonlarına sahiptir:
Onu Yapabilirsin
Hepiniz Daha İyi Yapın...

Hello Murat,
Benny was here recently, and it's always interesting to see how two visitors can present such different photos. I wonder what the driver would have thought of being immortalized like this. After all, he was just doing his job, like the guards in the Nazi death camps. :-(
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Murat,
Two excellent photos of this event that we should not forget.
Much has improved in racial relations, but not nearly enough and that does not only apply to the USA.
The real conductor on the left photo gives an extra dimension to the image.
Excellent presentation
Have a good weekend, groet Rob

Hello Murat,
An interesting daily lie sculpture of the bus driver, bus interior and a few passengers for good measure. Good sharpness and I like the warm cold color contrasts between the lower blue and upper yellow orange. Tfs!
