Photographer's Note

On my first-time visit to Australia I did what all good tourists do and went to see the
Sydney Opera House, but I never imagined that the roof would be made of millions of 10x10cm (4x4in) tiles. Amazing! No wonder the architect overran the budget some 20 times times and was ousted from the country before it was finished. Ironically, his sons are now working with the current renovation project.
The shot was taken in late afternoon, at sunset. Note the exposure time, no tripod, ISO50. I have found that an increase to ISO200 or even a mere ISO100 has a sad tendency to make the photos more grainy.
For the locals: This photo was taken at the far right side of the complex, at a spot where the roof comes close to the ground.
