Photographer's Note

Peery Lake in Western NSW filled during floods in the Paroo River in 2009. Prior to that the lake was a dry salt pan. It has now remained full since then and supports a great number of waterbirds including pelicans and ducks. The light on the rocky western shores at sunrise is a delight to the eyes. It is one of my favourite places. On the eastern shore there are large sand dunes systems where, for many thousands of years, the Traditional Owners lived.
