Photographer's Note

Mason Bay in Steward Island,(south of Invercagill) has the biggest sand dunes system in New Zealand, and possible the most beatifull. Trampers reach this beach looking for the famous fly-less bird called "Kiwi". This pre-historic little fellow is nocturnal and lives in small caves. In Steward Island is the only place in NZ where the kiwi walks at day light.
