Photographer's Note

This is the so called "Delicate Arch", in Arches National Park, Utah, USA.
It is probably the symbol of the park itself.
The picture is taken from underneath the arch, which is several tens of meters high. It is called "delicate" becaus in some points it is really thin.
It can be reached by a 90 minutes walk, and the best time is the sunset, when colors are softer, shadows are no longer sharp, and temperature is also more pleasant (it can be very hot during the day, in summer).

Arches Nat. Park. is an amazing area in Utah, where wind, rain, snow and ice, over the ages, have created hundreds of natural arches and several other strange rock formations.

The picture is a scan from a Velvia 100, and it was taken with a Nikon F70 + 18/35 Nikkor lens.
