Hello Way, The subject matter has been done a thousand times, yet the composition of this view of the iconic Monument Valley is captivating: entirely familiar yet at the same time unique. The technique, as always, is impeccable - in my opinion, it's the creative composition of the shot that makes this so successful. Congratulations on another wonderful photo. Best regards, Steve

Hello Brian, This photo caught my eye from the thumbnail: wonderful subtle lighting and colors, and an interesting FG with the channels of water. Successfully captures the quiet atmosphere of sunset at the coast. Nicely done! Regards, Steve

Hello Marlene, A riveting photo - were you in a nearby house? As I'm sure you know, the recovery and cleanup in Brisbane was nothing short of amazing. I visited there in mid-February and it was astounding how little evidence remained of the floodwaters that you experienced. It's a lovely city, and I'm relieved at how well they have recovered. Best regards, Steve

Hi May, Another colorful architectural study - very nice. And the pigeons are an amusing addition to this image. I remember spending a few days in the Strand Hotel many years ago - I was struck at that time by the crumbling buildings and 50s-era US autos used as taxis in Yangon (then Rangoon). Best regards, Steve

Hello Marlene, and thank you for alerting me to your wonderful travelogue of old scans. You were a busy traveler in the 70s - a whole different world! I'm impressed at the high quality of your photos - most of my slides from that era are very deteriorated, and I'm disappointed with many of them. This is a wonderful vignette with lots of visual interest - the colorful banners, clothing, and cape, as well as the assembled audience - all lovingly captured from the Franco era. Very nice indeed. Best regards, Steve
