I can see we have a lot in common in terms of the types of landscapes that we enjoy photographing, Mariusz. I would love to have this one in my own gallery because it is exactly as I would have framed it, and you have executed it perfectly. A1 technically, great DOF and excellent use of the grad filter. I think the red plants in the foreground are Anarthrophyllum Defideratum (commonly known as the Neneo Plant). They add a fabulous foreground POI which is often hard to find in wide-angle landscape photographs.

Wonderful shot my friend. Madagascar is on top of my list of places to visit for a long time and your photo has reminded me of that wish.. so I'll check out when is the best time to visit and if it is June or so.. I'll do that.. thanks once again (so many times already) for the inspiration !

This looked outstanding in the thumbnail, Siamak, but was somewhat disappointing when I opened it up as it lacks sharpness. I like the composition and light, but at f/5.6 1/400 the image should be much sharper than this. I note you have uploaded it at a very low quality (79kb) so I am guessing that is the problem. If there is no problem with the original, then perhaps you could sharpen the image and upload it at a higher quality to the Workshop (for a photograph as potentially as good as this one I would upload it at 800 pixels, instead of 600, and not less than 200kb). I bet that made you jump, Mario! But the fallen tree adds an interesting perspective to this lovely trail scene with all the fall colors. I think the image could have done with a little more sharpening, and I would have preferred to see your POV a little off-centre, but the latter point is more of a personal preference. Cheers . . . I spotted this in your randoms, Ryan, and immediately thought it was an HDR image. But after reading your PP update, I am now enlightened. Some days I yearn to go back to film when I see the results that can be achieved. I can't add much to what has already been written above in the well-deserved critiques for this magnificent image. This turned out quite well for a through-the-aircraft-window shot, Chris. I guess you must have had the light behind you because the colour saturation is quite strong. During the day many of these aerial shots would look quite washed out. Good there were no clouds in the foreground too. Cheers . . . David
