To Royaldevon: Photographer vs Nature

Well Bev

I like your take on it, though it wasn't in my mind consciously at the time. However, now I reflect, perhaps it was about photographer against nature. It was a grey overcast day and the light was poor. We had stopped in Lorne and I struggled to get a decent photo all day. This was my last ditch attempt before we drove off in the car and called it a day. The only way I could get this to work was to take a spot metering off the underside of the pier and then fix tripod etc and overexpose by one stop, two stops and three stops. This was the two stop result with a little dodging and burning thrown in for good measure. So it seems photographer with technology defeated nature!

Have a good day, best wishes and say Hi to Len.

Cheers

Mike
