Thanks Jan. cropping the highlight works for me. I'd be tempted to leave the people as they give scale/ human presence to the scene.

Good to see RSS support Adam. Its usefulness would be much enhanced by the addition of a thumbnail image, which can be added readily with most blogging apps to the summary field for in-line display...

Jacques, the fade was not planned (it was raining rather heavily) but I agree it gives the image a quality it would not have otherwise had.

The stone makes it

Glad you like the shot. I think the stone in the shaded area really makes it; I remember thinking this might act as a focal point when making the composition. It leads the eye up to the long shadows...
