My travel photography has mainly been good for TrekNature, so have not been busy here. But my recent California trip gave me a great opportunity to do some urban photography.

I used a Nikkor 35mm prime (fixed focal length) for this interior shot which is an extremely sharp lens. The quality definitely comes through compared to a zoom lens. Thanks for your kind comments.

To serp2000: Why you are seeing land at sunset

The geography of the Outer Banks, with its bays an inlets, can make it confusing. I was at Corolla, more or less, looking west towards the mainland.

Hi Bulent:

This was taken at Glen Echo, where local artists have various studios that they can use to create their art.

To BennyV: Low resolution

Problem is that this is so reduced in resolution that the fine details visible such as peoples face, street signs building facades do not come through on the web at this size.

To batalay: Interesting thought

I had not considered it in the context of the Buddha statues, The ANC government has cut off funding to this memorial to the Afrikaners, and while I can understand it, it is nevertheless part of the...

To Sonata11: Good workshop

Your workshop definitely improves the picture. It was an overcast sort of day there, and you have overcome it with the increased contrast. Thanks!

To batalay: Lenses
