Thanks very much for the compliment. This image is cropped, not by much. I can get really close to the kayakers at this location. The lens I used here was the Nikon “AF VR Zoom-Nikkor 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6D ED”. It’s not the fastest or sharpest lens in the world but for the most part it does a great job for what I need. The D700 sure is a beautiful camera, its low light capabilities are incredible. I wish it had video like your D90…do you do much video with your D90? I think that Nikon will come out with a D700 that has video, as they did with the D300s. Thanks again…look out for more kayaking pics soon ☺ I was looking at your photos, I love the “Tall Grass Prairie” photo. The sky and clouds are great and the color of the grass is wonderful.
