I think this would have benefited from a much faster shutter speed.

The water looks fast moving, so you could have gone for a faster shutter speed while still bluring the water, but you would have also kept some detail in it. As it stands you've over exposed most of the water and you're starting to lose detail in the lefthand rock as well.

As a general rule, the faster moving the water the shorter the exposure needed to blur it. Hope this is of some help.

thanks for the useful tips. Actually it was my first experiment with water and I visualized the point you commented on after taking it in my pc.I will try to remember it for the next time.
