Default panoramas - how to do this easily?

i just brought cople of sets shot for preparinf panoramas; my problem is (upps - a chellange) that so far i have never stitched separate photos in order to make pans; therefore i would appreciate any advice(s) which softwear to use, is there any freeware to start-up with and try if is worth playing with at all?; how to handle different exposure parameters of the separate pics etc. in general - how to start up?
thanks for any tips/hints

Hi Jerzy

Try this one:

(you find some examples of practical use amongst mine...)

MGI Photovista 2 is another tool that can be used for stitching the individual photos together - not one I have used (my camera has a stitch setting and the software with the camera works fine for me!)

As for the different settings... if the photos are taken in quick succession there should be little change from one to the next in your sequence!

Easiest, probably ThePanoramaFactory - I stitched my Sydney Harbour shot with that.

Best, probably PTassembler - I don't have any online at the moment, but it's complex - that said the results are truly excellent :)

Hi Jerzy!
the "frand mother" of panoramas is "Panorama Tools", come from an university work, have all the algorithms and is absolutely free. Many tool are buided upon PanoTools (p.e.: PTAssembler) i personally use "PTGui" [Panorama Tools Graphical interface].
You can save the result in Photoshop format and use layers for a retouch of the superimposed zones etc.
If you have interest i can send to you the link for downlad (but Panorama Tools is easy to find in the net). PTGui is nor for free but you can have a demo.
Can be helpful?
ciao, Giorgio

OK Jerzy: for Panorama Tools (from Prof. Helmut Dersch) look
http://www.path.unimelb.edu.au/~dersch/

for PTGui (the Grafical interface to Panorama tools for a easier use of the tools) look www.ptgui.com

for PTAssembler (another Grafical interfacelook for Panorama Tools) look at www.tawbaware.com/ptasmblr.htm

If you have problems with the download, write to me directly and i will send you the sw.
Good work!
ciao, Giorgio

Czesc
milej zabawy
pozdrawiam
piotr

Hello,

The panoramas in my gallerie are stitched with PTGui (www.ptgui.com)
It's not free, but you have 30 days for trying it without any limit.

You can try another software at www.autostitch.net, it's free and totaly
automatic, seeing it is believing it.

Didier.
