Great tyro 2017-11-05 11:49

Hi Jason,

You've written an interesting note and how nice that you were able to meet up again with Krzysztof to visit the Grand Canyon. And I like the picture of the two of you together - very nice!

But, from the photographic point of view, your main picture is absolutely stunning. I love how you have used the large window in the visitor centre to frame the view across the canyon while a visitor admires the distant view too. Not only that, but the light coming in the window rather nicely lights the stonework of the interior of this building.

A beautiful photograph, well composed, with perfect exposure, lovely light and colours and exceptional details and sharpness.

Beautiful!

Kind Regards,

John.

Hi John!

Great to hear from you, and as always, much appreciation for your thoughts on my photo.

Yes, the Grand Canyon is incredible, and made even better when you can share the experience with friends. As soon as I walked into this visitor center and saw someone standing in front of the window, it hit me like a ton of bricks as a shot I wanted. My first attempt was just missed, as the person in front of the window shifted into the shadows.

But, patience really is a virtue, and waiting for the next one to arrive sure paid off.

Thanks for taking some time to write, and I truly hope you and yours are doing well!

Take good care. All the best,

J
