Good Darren 2006-09-10 9:50

This reminds me some of the Rice Terraces in Banaue, the Philippines. The bottom two thirds of this shot are really nice. The greens look great and I like the line created by the bottom of the valley. Maybe a slightly wider angle would be preferable, but that is just speculation. Unfortunately, the sky was not on your side here. Perhaps a graduated filter would have helped? Shooting at another time of day probably would have been the best answer. Quite a nice landscape shot Kourosh, although I have to admit I am much more partial to your people shots.

I am trying to convince my significant other to visit Iran. It is not an easy sell, but I am hopeful

Hi Darre,

How are you? it's good to hear you're thinking about visiting iran. But hurry up man, I may not be here in a couple of months time.

Yes I know the image is not technically defendable. Actually my 300D stopped working while i was jungle trekking and i bought a cheap canon powershot A430 in a small twon. I thought it would do well in good light and for landscape shots but in totall i got very few good shots (including this one!). Here this was the widest angle i could get and although it was a pleasant day i would either get a dark landscape or a bright sky.
