Great dragonslayero 2007-03-20 20:31

Hello there...

Quite an interesting photo, even today there are people who dedicate their professional working life to the top of a horses back.
The photo looks good, but I have this feeling it is missing something. For example, why did you cut away the horse?
It would have looked so classical with the entire horse in the frame.
Colours look somewhat pale but I feel this works to underline the impression of this being an old photo.
Thank you for sharing.

Default To dragonslayero: good observations

yep.
i kinda of feel that it lacks punch, but it is an interesting study, despite not being a better picture.

Cropped because i had a 70-200 and could not get further back.

Weird light... it was midday light and so he is shaded mostly by some trees but his hat adds further shade to already dark skin.

might post another exaple and see how that works
