Great tyro 2008-09-27 13:37

Hello, Jean.

It really is a terrible pity that this picture shows up so poorly in the thumbnails. It really doesn't appear to be worth a look. But, when you see the full-sized picture, all is revealed - fabulous lighting, great composition and colours - and that wonderful little engine-house beautifully sihouetted against the mist as it hangs onto the sheer side of the cliff.

Wonderful!

Oh, by the way, I've looked and looked and, to my mind, the horizon is dead straight!

Best Wishes,

John.

P.S. I think Lasse has done a fine workshop for you using the very useful "Lighten Shadows/Darken Highlights" feature in Photoshop and Elements but, at the end of the day, I think I prefer your original image.

Default To tyro: Thank you

Hello John, thank you so much for your very kind comments.
Thumbnails are a bit of a lottery sometimes don't you think?
Some shots show up wonderfully, and others, only show their true worth when they are enlarged on the screen.
I did like Lasse's workshop. But my shot is how it was on the day.

Enjoy your weekend, best wishes Jean.
