Long time no see Avishek...where had you been. This is a very rare view of the Shivling peak which I know is not easy to access. You were right at the base of the peak...what was the height here? Like the excellent exposure on the snow & contrast with the clear blue sky! Well done.

Hi Angshu,
Nice to hear from you. Just back from a Gaumukh-Tapovan trip. Yes, it's a real tough trek to reach Tapovan. The altitude is approximately 14640 ft. But as the place is just above Gangotri glacier, we experienced a shivering -10 degree in the night :). But, the experience is really priceless! How can I forget the hospitality and the warm reception that we received from the Bangali Maataji living there for the past 18 years. Shubho Bijoya! Avishek
