Default To macjake: Remind me - I'm getting old and forgetful..........!

Hi Craig,

Thank you for your kind remarks about this one.

But, please remind me - when did I say something about responses on TE? Was it in a critique of one of yours? I really can't remember - I'm getting too old and forgetful these days!

Still, I'm pleased that you like this one. It was taken during a wonderful week's photographic course in Menorca with Philip Dunn, an ex-travel and press photographer and a delightful fellow. His website is quite interesting and you can also follow his blog there if you're interested.

Nope, I just can't recall what I said - please remind me!

Cheers,

John.

Default Ah, yes, I see!

Hi Craig,

Yes, I am a bit thick!

Well, actually, I thought this one of the "tunnels" was quite good and it did, in fact, receive quite good comments and reviews.

I think a lot of my pictures are, to be frank, a bit boring - like the one I put on today - nice building, colours and sharpness (I think) are quite good, it's quite pretty too, but it's boring, if you know what I mean. Lisa has the ability (and the imagination) to make pictures interesting as also does another great favourite of mine, Gunnar Holmertz (saxo042), who always sems to manage to get a bright red object somewhere in his pictures to give a bit of impact.

Personally, I think I'm quite reasonable when it comes to the technical side of things but what I lack is the "eye" to see a good picture - I just hope that that's something that can be learned and not just something that only comes with our genes!

Cheers,

John.
