These are very harsh colours ! I suppose this is not a soft environment either...
Perhaps with a little reduction of blue the overall impression would be warmer... but does that compare to reality ?
The horizontal strokes of colour give the picture a very simple structure

one thing the colours are original indeed, and second is that those animals bath in the browny soil and their skin gets same colour; the "models" we know from zoo-gardens are "clean" and thus look grey;
