TrekEarth: internet browser makes difference

Hi Everyone,
May be you know that already but I just realized why some photos are appearing sharp on one computer and not sharp on another.
I thought these may be some computer settings but I think now it is down to different internet browser.
It refers especially to photos which are larger than 800 pixels and get decreased automatically.
It seems that on Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer my photos are sharp after they are decreased but on Google Chrome they are not.
I share this because sometimes I get contradictory comments on the same photo, some people say that it is not sharp while others say it is pin sharp.

I am almost sure it is Google Chrome now.
Have a look at this photo:

It may help to focus on the signature at the bottom of the photo, but in the case of these photos the difference is remarkable and now I just checked on the same comp and compared Chrome with Internet Explorer. Huge difference. There may be some browser settings for Chrome but I suppose nobody really thinks about it but everybody uses default.

I have attached a screenshot in which a have the same picture open in two browsers, the sharpness difference is enormous.

Never mind after opening now I see the resolution is too low to see difference.It is because the original screenshot file was decreased in size, ha ha.But I can send the screenshot via email to anybody who is interested to see it.M

Yeah, OK, FireFox looks a bit sharper. I'll see what I can find out.

I think the difference is huge. IE is very much sharper and clearer than chrome. It was just not that clear in the screenshot I uploaded because it was altogether decreased again..
But never mind, now at least we know.

OK, so I did some independent research on this and essentially, different browsers just have different scaling algorithms.
