hey Narayan, went to check it out : neat site, a very nice body of photography.
Just a few remarks (some good, some not so): - pic #3 or 4 or your "singles" portfolio, of a Masai boy in the darkness is one of the best low light portraits I've ever seen. It proves me, if ever I needed too, that low light photography can be amazing. - Watch out for pic#2 quality (the boats in Amazonia) : hugely oversharpened it looks like a mobile camera pic you had recovered through USM. :( - A litte more care about your archives would be needed, it's disappointing that after seeing carefully set pages, you are directed into a sort of mess. Why do you need to display so many pics with no specific attention to a level of quality? My two cents Luko |

I've only looked at a couple of the portfolios and have liked what I see. My only observation / criticism is the appearance of the clock/timer when running the slideshow. I found it particularly intrusive on the fireman's funeral set, possibly because of the subject matter.

Vibrant photography, and your need to be a witness rather than a passer-by (traveller) is evident, all the more so because it's all set very soberly. My problem was that choosing to see the next image, it seemed to be up to the little clock to deliver it rather than me (I suppose the + sign accelerates the process, but ot seemed haphazard timing). Any chance to simply nix it? I think it may prove frustrating to many. Anyway, beautiful and inspiring work, Don.

Thanks guys, for taking a look. I replaced image #2 with a less sharpened version and also fixed the spelling errors, thanks for pointing those out.
This site is a temp site. I am having a really good designer do a site for me, one that doesn't look like I made it! |

One more remark, Nara: the Alzheimer session has a different way of showing the images, what imho breaks the unity of the site. also, some info in the miscellaneous group would be good too.
neat, friendly use ;) congrats. Cheers, Isabel |

Nice Layout but a bit slow loading with my slow connection here in Madurai, excellent opening but the link to the other site breaks a bit the estetics of the opening.
Maybe a hint to consider: why that big size, a smaller size could increase speed I did two years ago one in flash to avoid all the coding, yours seems to have a Go-life structure Compare once for the size and the photo-presentation here or here in flash, still to be worked out more, maybe it can inspire your designer. |

Hi Henk... thanks for those links... your work is so good and those flash sites are nice. Well, this slow one was made my me. I met with my designer for my new site yesterday, which he is making in flash. He is a very talented designer and it is being built from the ground up, no templates. And yes, the big size is a problem. I didn't realise that it would be so slow once I launched it. It will all get sorted out. Thanks for the input.
