Hi Samantha,
Never been to Plymouth in the UK, but it looks well nice, you get good sunsets in California, secially Venice and Malibu beach.

In this case, I'm not sure that the changes indeed improve the shot because in the original, all objects are a little remote and thus better balanced, supporting the situation rather than standing out as 2 big hipos, particularely one with a very frightening eye (after sharpening). What you've done is also nice, but makes it more of an animals picture rather than a little funny SITUATION. At least this is how I fee while comparing the two. Thanks anyway! Giora
