Interesting architecture of the church... Reminds me of the Spanish influence on church building in the Philippines from the same period! They also have a separate belltower and a horrible array of cables...

You're right on the Romanic architectural influence that helped build many buildings (not only churches) in early days in America. Altough by the XVI century Ghotic architects begun building new churches, in the Colonies (America and the Phillipines) the Romanic influence lasted more.
Santa Barbara is a nice example of Romanic architecture. Thanks for your comments! |
